Graphic organizers were completed to reinforce the skill. Third-grade Spencer-Westlawn Scholars have completed their first Project-Based Learning (PBL) of the year with Mrs. Knowles! Third-graders became experts on the Hazardous Storm, Hurricane Katrina. After identifying the root of the problem related to Hurricane Katrina, they were tasked to build a levee to withstand water. Students were given a budget and a list of materials they could buy. They had to decide on the materials to purchase collectively. Lastly, they built their levees and tested them against water. #TransformersStrongerTogether
