Mrs. Harris is teaching her students how to compare two fractions with different numerators and denominators using concrete models. Students also had to explain that the comparison of two fractions is valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Students in Ms. Colston's class worked with a Thanksgiving passage about the history of pumpkin pie. After reading the passage, Ms. Colston cut a slice for each student to taste. They then completed a poll, and a word cloud technology lesson as a reflection. Finally, students watched a video posted in their Schoology course. Afterwards, each student answered two discussion questions for closure.
